Astrology Answers
I wrote under my pen name, Vanessa Hardcastle for this large astrology website from 2017-2020.
At the time I was there, the website was getting about 30 million pageviews a month.
As a remote, part-time writer, I was responsible for:
- Daily Love Horoscopes (7 per week)
- 2 weekly articles (750-1,000 words each)
- Editing article reposts
Overall, I wrote close to 100 articles for this site.
Winback Campaign
This was a major email campaign I wrote content for and project managed with our Tech Business team.
Due to a technical oversight, we had lost a good chunk of our email subscribers within a 6-8 month period. I approached this ‘Winback Campaign’ as a combination of an ‘Oops series’, where we just straight up apologized to people for messing up their emails and a solid longer term retention strategy to bring them back – and keep them – in the fold.
I created these emails and wrote all the content, later working with the Tech Business team and our Marketing Consultant to strategize the best email flow in Salesforce.
Blackbox
I’ve been working with this software app company since November 2022. The site is still in progress, which is why some of the formatting looks off, but we’re not running traffic to it yet, as they are working on getting the app launched.
My task is to make the site easy to understand for the everyday person (Our clients will be mostly collectors, artists and people who make custom products.). I’ve written parts of the site, and will continue to add more as we go. This would be the best link to see a full page of my work – Custom Product Creators.
Daily Life
I wrote under my married name, Sarah McCullough, from 2017-2019, working with the Content Manager on two weekly articles, as well as site content pages and special projects.
It was a mental/emotional/spiritual motivation and education site until last year, when the owners changed it to a mushroom pill site (Long story.). Anyway, that is why I am no longer credited, it just says ‘Daily Motivation Team’ because when they switched platforms, all the old content was overwritten.
Daily Motivation
I’ve been writing/editing/collaborating and creating with this personal growth and motivational website since 2021.
These days, I am mostly editing the work of other writers, but I do still love to pen articles myself.
Executrade
I worked on a website rewrite/adding new content for this recruiting agency in 2021. I wrote the Industries page mostly from scratch, and wrote many of the staff bios as well on the Our Team page.
